Welcome! Since I have the opportunity to do whatever I would like with my site, I decided to get a bit creative. The background content is a live representation of the weather from the town I live in, Portland, Oregon.
Using the Yahoo Weather API and the jQuery Simple Weather plugin, each piece of content interacts with real weather data. The content will always be different every time you refresh!
The Sun and Moon are constantly moving across the sky depending on the current time. It is updated every ten seconds with new data, and displays the temperature for the current area.
These objects interact with the wind speed data by moving faster or slower.
